ESPACE BEAULIEU | |||||||||
|

| It
was thanks to this building using remarkably innovative architecture of
36,000 m² above ground that the Brussels architectural landscape entered
the era of ‘intelligent’ buildings in 1992.
This structure is built up, amongst other things, around a 250-metre long (8-metre wide) atrium within which 18 panoramic lifts allowing those inside to travel between the floors. The success of this significant project, marked with the Codic signature, is to be attributed to an excellent team made up of architects from the Genval Architects’ Bureaux, in particular André Jacqmain, to the economics expertise of George Pierson and his colleagues, to the special techniques of Air Consult Engineering, and, last but not least, to TCA and its colleagues for the guaranteed stability. The Espace Beaulieu is occupied entirely by the Commission for the European Community. Investors : Beaulieu 1-3 ; CGER Assurances – Beaulieu 4-5 and 7-9 ; Immo Beaulieu.Investment value: EUR 138,820,000. |
