| This
complex consists of a preparation unit that is linked to a solvent
extraction unit.
It has a daily capacity of 400 tonnes of soya grains or 200 tonnes of cotton grains and has a complete refinery which treats locally produced or imported oil at a rate of 200 tonnes daily. The peripheral equipment used is made up essentially of grain silos (up to 20,000 tonnes), different oil storage tanks, cooling towers, steam and compressed air production, electricity supply, water treatment, a fire protection system, a laboratory and a workshop. |

| BEJAIA | ||||||
|
||||||
| One of the largest oilseed crushing complexes ever built by any one constructor on behalf of the Entreprise Nationale des Corps Gras, located 300 km from Algiers. TCA, which provided the advisory engineers for the civil engineering work, carried out the engineering study and design work for the 11 buildings with steel frames which now refine and bottle 400 tonnes of food oil on a daily basis. |

| In this case, TCA was responsible for the design engineering and drawing up the construction plans for the concrete and metallic frame for a highly comprehensive preparation and extraction factory dealing with 600 tonnes of soya per day as well as for the flour treatment, utilities and important storage silos. |
| ANCONA | ||||||

||||||
| The renovation and installation of new extraction installations within an existing factory under particularly difficult construction conditions whereby the number of interruptions to production had to be kept to an minimum. |

| ENCG
wanted to install a new unit within its Bejaia complex that would produce
150 tonnes of household soap and 50 tonnes of packaged toilet soap daily.
Of course, it entrusted De Smet with the completion of this project, which
in turn called upon the support of Mazzoni.
TCA was entrusted with the task of drawing up project specifications relating to the civil engineering work which involved, over and above the production buildings, several additional buildings including a soda dissolution unit, large storage areas, roads, tracks and transfer racks. TCA was present on-site to a considerable extent and participated above all in preparing and obtaining the necessary agreements from the various local authorities, in particular as regards the technical checks on the construction work. |

| The Tirlemont group decided to take advantage of the time available between the beetroot seasons and entrusted De Smet and TCA with the reconstruction of this new workshop which was ready for use in time for the start of the sugar season in September 1996 in spite of all sorts of unforeseen difficulties due to the fact that this building is over 200 years old! |
CEMENT PLANT |
| QASSIM | ||||||
|
||||||
| We designed the largest building involved in the project to extend the QASSIM CEMENT COMPANY cement plant, that being the "Preheater Tower", a 62-metre-high tower built on a 7 m concrete infrastructure housing the electricity units. The area of this building, which was calculated in accordance with seismic levels and the German DIN standards, covers an area of only 14 m by 16 m. It has 6 intermediary mixed platforms and comprises in excess of 400 tonnes of reconstituted soldered sections. |

BAIA MARE | |||||
|
||||||
| This project involved the renovation of an existing brewery and the addition of a new bottling room. All of this was to take place within a seismic environment and a highly demanding administrative and legal context. The project, that was carried out by Interbrew, was completed within slightly less than a year in Baia Mare in the Carpathians. Even vampires appreciate our Belgian calculations, engineering, equipment ... and beer! |
